I started Shadeland Gardens in the summer of 2025. At the time I was working for a large landscaping company and I saw potential for more sustainable and ecologically responsible practices. I knew it would be easier to create this culture from the ground up, so I got started working for like-minded private clients in the beaches area of Toronto. My ambition is to become a true net-zero operation while serving clients across the GTA. I studied horticulture at Niagara College where I founded the 'Niagara College Native Plant Society' and received mentorship from Paul Zammit (CBC's gardening expert), Dena Gavin, Carrie Zimmerman, and all the passionate students and faculty. In addition to my horticultural training, I hold a degree in music from Humber College.
